Biography
Stephen Kinnock was appointed Secretary of State for Wales on 20 July 2026.
He was previously Minister of State at the Department of Health and Social Care between 8 July 2024 and 20 July 2026.
He was elected as the MP for Aberafan Maesteg in July 2024.

The Secretary of State is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the UK Government in Wales.
