These regulations apply to all personnel at all levels in the Ministry of Defence (MOD), who have duties and responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environmental Protection (HS&EP) associated with activities involving the following: Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives (OME) acquisition, OME in-service and operational safety management, defence ranges, major accident control, military lasers, and directed energy weapons.
These regulations should be read with reference to JSP 815 and JSP 816 - Defence Safety and Environmental Management System Framework, Direction and Guidance, and Defence Safety Authority 01.1 – Regulations .
