The UK National Screening Committee Secretariat team supports the independent scientific committee in carrying out its work. Based within the Department of Health and Social Care, the team manages the committee’s governance, evidence review programme, stakeholder engagement, public consultations and communications. It commissions and oversees evidence reviews, coordinates committee and expert group meetings, develops workplans, supports decision-making processes, and helps make sure UK NSC recommendations are evidence-based and transparent.
