State of emergency in Tocopilla

A state of emergency has been declared in Tocopilla, northern Chile, due to severe weather and flooding. If you are a British citizen in the area, follow the advice of local authorities, including any evacuation orders. Access to Tocopilla is currently restricted. Check for updates and safety alerts from Chilean civil protection @Senapred and local officials. British nationals in Chile who require urgent consular assistance can contact the local number 22 370 4100 and select the option for consular assistance.
