Anas Sarwar

Biography
Anas Sarwar was appointed Minister of State (Minister for Trade) in the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade on 23 July 2026.
He was previously Leader of the Scottish Labour Party between February 2021 and July 2026. He also served as a regional Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for Glasgow between 2016 and 2026, and as MP for Glasgow Central between 2010 and 2015.
