Explore 'An Election' brings Hogarth’s paintings to life, using AI to animate some of his characters, and to annotate the paintings so that they can be more easily understood by modern audiences, and Key Stage 3 students in particular. 

We hope that this resource will serve to bring to life the history of elections, democracy and citizenship, and to spark discussion about how today’s elections and forms of political participation are both different and similar to those of 250 years ago.
