Files in EXTRA - note by Mark Hill, June 2012

DATACORN converts from database format (must be no blanks in names, replace these by underscores if necessary) to Cornell Condensed Format
CORNDATA converts from Cornell Condensed Format to database format

Original files are
MEADOW.CRN - Herbage samples from the Danube valley near Ulm (Mueller-Dombois & Ellenberg, 1974).
DUNE.CRN - Dune slack data from Terschelling, Netherlends (Jongman et al., 1995; ter Braak & milauer, 1998)

Derived files are
meadow.dat
dune.dat

These were converted back to Cornell Condensed files
mead.crn
dun.crn

Note that the process has changed the order in which some samples appear, because of the alphabetical treatment, and the fact that underscores _ are used to replace blanks.
