Make a whistleblower report
Tell the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) about suspected wrongdoing by your current or former employer.
Use this service to tell the CMA about your employer (or ex-employer) possibly breaking competition or consumer law.
Before you start
Before you make your report, read our guide to whistleblowing. It explains:
- what you can tell us about
- how to prepare a report
- how we’ll handle your information (including anonymity and confidentiality)
- what happens after you make a report
- who else you can report to
You can make a whistleblower report to the CMA if you suspect wrongdoing relating to an area of the CMA’s work, including competition or consumer protection. If you want to report something else, check the list of other bodies and people you can contact.
If you are not making a whistleblowing report, but want to contact the CMA about something else, you can:
- contact our General Enquiries team to tell us about issues with a business or market, or provide information about a new or existing CMA case
- report suspected cartel activity
