We attend a range of events to give advice on planting woodland, and what grants are available.

We also hold training events and webinars on specific funding schemes and areas of forestry. We encourage you to sign up in advance to ensure your place.

Our Area Operations Manager for Yorkshire and the North East will be speaking at the Women in Timber Seminar bringing together women who work in forestry.

National Forestry Conference

7 October 2026 (Newbury)

The National Forestry Conference has been organised by the Country Land and Business Association, Forestry Commission and Grown in Britain. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Commerciality through connectivity’.

There will be speakers from the Forestry Commission discussing how stronger links across the supply chain, industry and policy can unlock commercial opportunities and drive success.

Brailsford Ploughing Match

We will share fascinating wildlife stories from the people behind wildlife conservation and sustainable deer management – including our Forestry Commission Deer Officer.

The National Tree Officers Conference provides a unique platform for local authority tree professionals and the wider sector to connect, learn and exchange ideas.
