Government Functional Standard GovS 007: Security

This functional standard is part of a suite of functional standards designed to promote consistent and coherent working within government organisations and across organisational boundaries.

Cyber Security Standard

The cyber security standard defines the cyber security outcomes that government organisations must meet and the assurance process they must follow.

Personnel Security Standard

The personnel security standard is designed to mitigate the risks posed to the security resilience of the UK and protect the people who work to deliver our public services.

This document is currently only available to staff in minsterial government departments. If you work in an executive agency or non-ministerial department, you should contact your parent department security contact to get a copy.

Physical Security Standard

This physical security standard is aimed at Departmental Security Advisers and other individuals with responsibility for making sure UK government personnel and assets are appropriately protected and that the physical security standard is met.
