Tell beneficiaries about income from the estate of a deceased person

Use form R185 (Estate Income) to advise beneficiaries about income from the estate of someone who has died.

  1. Form R185 (Estate Income) has been updated for tax year 2026 to 2027. The form for previous tax years is also available up to and including 5 April 2026.

  2. The form R185 Estate Income has been updated to reflect the new tax year changes.

  3. The form R185 Estate Income has been updated to reflect the new tax year changes for 2022 to 2023.

  4. The form R185 Estate Income has been updated to reflect the new tax year changes.

  5. The R185(Estate Income) statement has been updated for the 2019 to 2020 tax year, as customers will no longer need to complete box 20 on this form.

  6. The form has been updated for 2019 with a new box at 25.1 for unused residential finance costs brought forward from previous years.

  7. Form updated to replace Box 25 in the SA107 with box 26 in the SA107.

  8. Rates, allowances and duties have been updated for the tax year 2018 to 2019.
