The charges section of our application form and supporting guidance notes has been updated to include the option to pay online using GOV.UK. Also updated how reference numbers are used and provided a standard format that aligns with other permitting regimes, with instructions to make it easier to identify payments when they are made. As well as updating the charges section, several smaller changes have been made to improve the usability of the forms.

Forms WR332, WR334, WR390 and WR391 have been amended to remove details of raising invoices.

Updated the guide 'Public register and advertising applications: how the Environment Agency uses the information in your application', now in webpage (HTML) format.

The form and guidance titles have been updated to give the part first and form number last. The forms have been updated into a more logical order.

Forms and guidance have been updated to provide extra information and make existing information clearer. Updated part a (WR328) and form e (WR329) to ask for correct contact details. Updated how to pay and payment types accepted for part c (WR332), part d (WR334) and part e (WR390). Updated the wording on part b (WR330 and WR331) to make it clear what information is needed for a basic and enhanced pre-applications. Clarified in part c (WR332 and WR333) when part e (WR390) should be used. Updated guidance on applying for multiple activities in part e (WR390 and WR391). Updating the charging information in part c (WR333) and part e (WR391).

Forms updated to include additional Strategic Review of Charges (SRoC) questions and improved the accessibility.

Added form 'WR390: Charging for a water resources application, part E' and form guidance WR391. Updated the publication 'Details' section to link to guidance on how to apply for an abstraction or impounding licence, and how to get help from the pre-application advice service. Moved form WR389 for notification of death or bankruptcy of a water resources licence holder onto its own page.
