Waste recovery sites: apply for a pre-consent certificate

If you run a waste recovery site with a permit in England and regularly receive shipments of the same waste, you may benefit from having a 'pre-consent' certificate.

Details

If the Environment Agency issues a waste recovery site with a pre-consent certificate:

  • the notification process is quicker
  • consents may last up to 3 years, rather than the standard 12 months
