Details

This independent review was commissioned in December 2025 by the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government. It considers the risks posed to democracy in the UK by foreign financial influence and interference, and makes 17 recommendations to mitigate those risks.

On the 6 July 2026 the government published its response to the recommendations.
