You need to apply for a regulated product authorisation if you wish to place one of the following product types on the market in the UK:
- extraction solvents (opens in new window)
- feed additives (opens in new window)
- feed for particular nutritional uses (PARNUTS) (opens in new window)
- feed detoxification processes (opens in new window)
- flavourings (opens in new window)
- food contact materials (opens in new window)
- food additives (opens in new window)
- food enzymes (opens in new window)
- genetically modified organisms (GMOs) as food and feed (opens in new window)
- precision bred organisms (PBOs) (opens in new window)
- irradiated food (opens in new window)
- novel foods (opens in new window)
- smoke flavourings (opens in new window)
