We are currently recruiting experienced Community Support Workers in Cardiff on behalf of a well-established care provider supporting adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour within community and supported living settings.
This is a rewarding opportunity for compassionate, reliable, and experienced support workers who are passionate about delivering person-centred care and helping individuals live independently within their local community.
The Role
As a Community Support Worker, you will provide high-quality support tailored to individual needs, helping service users with daily living, emotional wellbeing, social activities, and community access. You will be supporting individuals who may display behaviours that challenge and require confident, calm, and consistent support.
Responsibilities:
Supporting adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour
Encouraging independence and community involvement
Assisting with daily living activities and routines
Following person-centred care plans
Building positive and professional relationships
Promoting dignity, choice, and respect at all times
Maintaining accurate records and reports
Requirements:
Minimum 6 months’ experience in a similar support worker or care role
Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviour and/or learning disabilities
A caring, resilient, and professional approach
Good communication and teamwork skills
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS preferred (or willingness to obtain one)
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is preferred due to the community-based nature of the role
