EYFS Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing from as soon as possible
(5 days preferred, 4 days considered Monday to Thursday)
The inspection report highlights a positive and inclusive primary school environment where children feel safe, supported, and eager to learn. Teaching is purposeful and well structured, with early years provision supporting strong foundations in learning, behaviour, and personal development. Leadership provides clear direction and maintains a strong focus on safeguarding, consistency, and pupil well-being.
This EYFS Teacher role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive early years setting on a long-term, ongoing basis, starting as soon as possible. The EYFS Teacher will deliver high-quality, developmentally appropriate teaching that supports children’s early learning and emotional development. The role is full time, though the school can accommodate a four-day working week from Monday to Thursday for the right candidate.
Duties as EYFS Teacher:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
- Support children’s development across communication, language, social, and early learning skills
- Use observation and assessment to monitor progress and inform next steps
- Promote positive behaviour, routines, and independence
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and early years staff
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Support smooth transitions within early years provision
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal EYFS Teacher:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching within EYFS
- Strong understanding of early years pedagogy and child development
- Creative, patient, and nurturing teaching approach
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Flexible and open to either full-time or four-day working arrangements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
