MEDICAL CONDITIONS: Arthritis and short-term memory loss
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Diana is the primary carer for her husband Tony, who has vascular dementia, poor mobility and incontinence. Diana writes everything down to manage her short-term memory loss. She enjoys gardening and short walks, and has regular visits from her daughter and social outings with friends. Diana's main need is for a friendly, experienced and mature carer who can provide companionship, practical help with housework and laundry, and emotional support as she manages her caring responsibilities.

Work environment

A large family home that is smoke-free and pet-free.

Requirements
==========================
• English language (fluent, spoken and written)
• Full UK driving licence
• Care Certificate or equivalent care qualification
• Understanding of dementia and its impact on individuals and family carers
• Ability to work sensitively with Tony, who may not recognise his own care needs

Working pattern
==========================
3-6 hours per week across 2-3 visits. The standard schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 11:00, though this is flexible and can be adjusted to suit both parties.
