Salary: £15.56 per hour

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking dedicated and flexible Relief Family Time Workers to join our Family Time Service. This vital role supports children and young people in care to maintain safe and meaningful relationships with their families, when they are not in their care. You will work on, as and when required basis, to cover staff annual leave and sickness.
About the Role
As a Relief Family Time Worker, you will:
Supervise and support Family Time sessions between children and their families, that no longer reside in their care. This may be during the court process or as part of the long term care plan for the child.
Record observations accurately and capture the child’s voice to inform ongoing care planning.
Work in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to promote positive outcomes.
Manage risks effectively and make decisions in challenging situations.
Provide practical support and role modelling to parents during sessions.
Work flexibly across various settings, including family centres, community venues, and family homes.
Peak times of delivery is after school, when children have finished for the day.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in working with children/young people.
Experience of working with or caring for children in a statutory setting.
Strong communication and IT skills.
Ability to engage with families and maintain professional boundaries.
A current driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable:
Knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and child protection procedures.
Experience delivering parenting interventions.
