About the role
Do you love working with clay and supporting creative practice? We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Specialist with strong knowledge of clay processes, kiln firings, glazing, slip casting and associated health and safety and maintenance to join our friendly and supportive technical team.
You’ll play a vital role in running our ceramics workshops—helping students from ceramics, games, fine art and other creative courses bring their ideas to life. From delivering inductions and supervising safe workshop practice to supporting exciting projects at all stages, this is a role where no two days are the same.

Main Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for our Technical Specialist (ceramics) will be to:
Provision of technical expertise and instruction to underpin use of specialist facilities, providing expert level support for complex technical issues, designing and delivering training programs and technical instruction and assisting in the planning, execution and management of technical projects.
