SEN Teaching Assistants Required - Redditch
Immediate Starts & September 2026 Opportunities

Paragon Education is currently recruiting compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils within specialist settings and mainstream schools across Redditch.

We have a range of opportunities available for immediate starts and September 2026, including day-to-day supply, long-term placements, and permanent positions.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assist children with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs
Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support learning and behaviour strategies
Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Support pupils with emotional regulation, social development, and classroom engagement
Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers

Requirements

Applicants should have:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Team Teach or behaviour support training
Experience within specialist schools or alternative provisions
Knowledge of EHCPs and personalised learning strategies
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or Autism
