Crynodeb
Desian Education are proud to be supporting an extremely well-regarded two-form entry mainstream primary school in Widnes that is easily accessible via public transport. Due to additional funding and increased pupil intake this school require an experienced Level 3 EYFS teaching assistant to join the EYFS cohort on a full-time temporary basis. Subject to funding, this position will last the entirety of next academic year.
Your new role:
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining an experienced and welcoming EYFS team. You will work in collaboration with the class teacher to promote the engagement and learning of your new pupils by getting to know each student and building strong constructive relationships. You will lead on phonics interventions and guided reading, using the little wondle scheme. You will also:
- Support with OPAL and forest delivery
- Implement positive behaviour strategies
- Support with WELLCOMM screening
- Deliver learn through play to support social and emotional development
What you need to succeed:
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Relevant referenceable classroom experience
- A passion for supporting young learners
- Be at least NVQ Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent qualified
- Have an Enhanced Children’s DBS or willingness to obtain
- Expert knowledge of the EYFS national curriculum
