Summary
Main responsibilities:
Assisting with day-to-day finance and
administration tasks
Learning how to process invoices and financial
documents
Entering data accurately onto accounting systems
Supporting the team with filing and record
keeping
Answering telephone and email enquiries
professionally
Assisting with customer and supplier queries
Learning how to check and organise financial
information
Supporting the preparation of reports and
spreadsheets
Maintaining confidentiality when handling
company information
Working with colleagues to develop knowledge and
skills in accounts and finance

Qualifications required
A minimum of 5 x GCSEs which must include Maths at grade 6/B or above and English at grade 5/C or above
Skills required
Good attention to detail
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Organised and able to manage simple effectively
Ability to work as part of a team
Prospects
Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a
permanent role within the business and opportunities to progress into positions
such as Accounts Assistant or Finance Administrator. Ongoing training and
further professional qualifications may also be available.
