Highways Manager needed in Shrewsbury Paying £38 per hr ref 1736602
Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage highways maintenance and improvement programmes
- Oversee reactive and planned works, including inspections, repairs, and resurfacing
- Ensure compliance with highways legislation, health & safety standards, and best practice
- Manage contractors and in-house teams to deliver high-quality services
- Monitor budgets, performance, and service delivery targets
- Develop and implement highways asset management strategies
- Respond to enquiries from stakeholders, members, and the public
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and customer service
