When are SSG meetings held?
Meeting frequency ranges from twice a year, to quarterly, with most meeting three times a year. These can be in person at an accessible venue, digital – or a combination of both. Extraordinary general meetings (EGMs) are also held as and when required.

Bradwell site stakeholder group retains the title Local Community Liaison Council.
SSG meetings for Dungeness A, Hinkley Point A, Hunterston A and Sizewell A sites are shared with Électricité de France (EDF) who is the operator of the adjacent B station reactor sites.

Membership and role
Site stakeholder group (SSG) meetings are independently chaired. Membership usually includes elected representatives from local authorities, town or community councils, local organisations, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), resident associations, businesses, the education sector and trade unions.
Elected members are expected to engage with and report back to their communities, helping people to better understand the complexities of nuclear site decommissioning and in-turn strengthen trust.
SSG Chairs also provide valuable local insight regarding funding applications at their respective NRS site socio-economic funding panel.
